Intro Clinics take place over 3 days, and introduce participants to the core principles of the Being with Horses philosophy. The structure each day will be a combination of horse sessions, person-to-person exercises, and discussion/q&a time.
Attendees are broken up into Participants and Auditors:
Participants attending with their horses receive five sessions over the course of the weekend, which focus on the individual themes arising between each horse-human pair, and putting into practice what we learn in the person-to-person exercises surrounding clear communication via natural body language and energetic presence.
Auditors observe all sessions with the horses, and participate in all person-to-person exercises throughout the weekend.

You can work with a horse that you have an existing relationship with already, i.e. a long-term lease. But because this work is deeply relational, we do not support the use of horses to experience a clinic if there is no intention or means of carrying out the relationship in the long-term.

Yes! All you need to host a clinic is an arena, seating for auditors, restrooms, shelter from the elements depending on time of year, and potential accommodations for horses hauling in for the clinic (unless you can fill a clinic with horses already residing at your barn). We can accommodate between 4-6 participants with horses per clinic, as well as up to 10 auditors.
In addition, we ask that we are able to reserve these facilities for the duration of the clinic in order to allow for an undisturbed clinic experience for all participants.

No! All you need is a desire to learn more about how to connect with horses in a non-dominant , compassionate way. If you do not currently have a horse of your own, but you want to learn this approach we highly recommend auditing one of our clinics.
